print versionThe Mount Cameroon Inter-communal Ecotourism Board offers a wide range of mountain tours to the Mount Cameroon. Tourists have the opportunity to choose from the selection of 12 different tours. Everybody can find something for himself according to the interest and physical condition, because the offered tours represent various attractions and level of difficulty – from very easy to very demanding and strenuous.
Duration of the tours fluctuate between 2 hours and five days. Also longer tours are available on request. It concerns especially organised bird- and wildlife watching tours. These can be organised by the Mount CEO office, if booked in advance.
The hiking trails on Mount Cameroon lead through various vegetation zones like farmland, mountain rainforest, savannah and pioneer vegetation on volcanic rocks and ashes on Hut 3 and summit plateaus. This variety of landscapes, ecosystems and climate makes the tours very interesting and unique. Some thrill adds the fact that Mount Cameroon is a still active volcano, which can erupt any time.
